Jan Hammer
United States
Приєднався 20 чер 2007
Hello, my name is Jan Hammer. A child of the Basque community in Boise, Idaho I have spend much of my working life in television. Though I love music I am not the Jan Hammer of Miami Vice fame. I do admire his work however. A wannabe guitar picker I once told a friend "I want to learn to play in the worst possible way". He replied "you already do". I am now retired and live wife in Grand Junction, Colorado, USA. Editors note: Many, if not most, of the descriptions or the songs and/or artists heard here are taken from Wikipedia.

An Evening With John Denver (1975)

This video is another example of a preservation project. I was able to correct the aspect ratio, clear up the color a bit and smooth out the audio. This one is particularly close to my heart as this 1975 ABC network program aired on stations I helped put on the air in my home state of Idaho. KIVI-TV Boise had been on the air about one year with this broadcast. We also operated the ABC affiliate...
A Tribute To Harry Chapin

Four times a year, for seven years, I had the great good fortune of travelling to New York City for my job. I called on advertising agencies soliciting business for whatever television station I was working for in whatever town I was living at the time. Yes, it was an actual job back then. Manhatten was and is a vibrant, exciting experience. While the city didn't have a monopoly on creativity, ...

Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 21 John Denver's closing set at The Heartland Heros Celebration at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska on 3 July 1991. This is another example of what creative software is capable of. In this original video downloaded from UA-cam there was video noise, poor lighting, and audio problems. I was able to correct all of these to the video before you. We cannot...

Good Ole Montana Boys-Some Broken Hearts Never Mend
Переглядів 565Рік тому
Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 21 In Roundup, Montana here are two good old boys, Steve Tolbert, presumed to be on the left and Darro Long on the right. They are pickin’ away a good ole time on their version of a Don Williams classic. Apparently Steve is visiting from somewhere else. I acquired this first as a video correction exercise as the video I had was overexposed. Steve was way to...

Neil Diamond-I Am I Said

In August, 1972 Neil Diamond performed at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. That concert, recorded live, became one of the best selling albums in music history. The album named simply “Hot August Night”. Remarkable though it is with many songs penned by Diamond this particular selection stands out to me. I could not resist putting together this audio and video. We, one and all, need to belong. ...

In August, 1972 Neil Diamond performed at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. That concert, recorded live, became one of the best selling albums in music history. The album named simply “Hot August Night”. This piece entitled “Morningside” from that album is lovely with a meaning , I think, left to interpretation. This is how I saw it as it was edited. I would be interested in your ideas, Enjoy!

Haven’t heard this one for many years……brilliant
Such beautiful harmonies made me tearful❤
Notice the tenor guitar is capo-ed up high, so it sounds like strumming a mandolin.
Singers like this bring more joy to the world than the whole bunch of politicians
ellie i know you like emmy lue my uncles cars and home sterios had her tapes in them 69 ~red roadruner 8track emmy loe
WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER I LISTENED TO MOSTLY BOB DYLAN AND PINK FLOYD AND I STILL DO BUT I ALSO LIKED YOU GORDON YOUR MUSIC IS TIMELESS

Like watching a man on a tightrope. An amazing performance.
My heart melts when I hear this performance. It just reaches in and holds it in its tender hands.
She's awesome. As good as Sinatra.
My late husband, rhodes reason, appeared in summer stock in the play. He was in his 20's. He thought that William Holden was too old for the part. I did not agree. Rhodes went on to Broadway to plsy Daddy Warbucks in Annie! William Holden was magnificent!
A favorite…lovely 🎶❤️
This song touches a deep, deep place. The looks on the audiencees’ faces😢❤
No doubt Joni is the most talented musician/song writer ever. No body else comes close.
Yes i loved their music. I'M 73 yrs old but but still remniscing these kind of music.
Can still hear my Dad, playing the guitar & belting out this song. All of us kids would join in singing really loud along to this tune.
Great❤
❤❤simply beautiful❤❤
Can't remember hearing it first, but maybe Gene Autry? I've always loved this song. Down to earth. She sings it so good!
Wow... two loves of my life ♡.
ม้าเต้นได้ สวยมากก
Prachtig❤❤❤❤
Hermosa versión! Muchas gracias por compartir. 🙏
This was not about the Boer war ( which by the way your pronunciation is incorrect as well). It was about fighting in India. If you understood the poem you would see that’s mentioned. Additionally, as Kipling illustrated and stated , “ You’re a better Man than I am, Gunga Din!” He was no “ boy” as you say. Kipling deserves to be remembered correctly. You mommicked it up .
Uma história de amor, ela foi com ele...❤
❤
It is said that Wm Holden was so nervous about this scene, he was drunk. I can see it.
This is just classic...Beautifully sad - Ol' Frank. But. I did not taste my 'Puttanesca' - Along the way. That's a very rather sick joke...
No lip syncing here!!!!!
Beautiful and I always will love you
I'm late to the party (comment) - but Gordon was the blueprint for almost all the singer/songwriters that followed - even Dylan. Humans playing and singing live, no pitch correction, no lip synching. Before Protools there were PROS. Superb. Saw him live in Knoxville, TN and he said he actually wrote this song on a hot, sultry summer night in someplace like Cleveland....
these guys are soooooo great...their singing timbre matches the instruments that they play...just GREAT
Love It Was An Old Time Favourite Remember The Great Old Time's ❤
Estava errada? Não tem violinos?0indisponivel?,

Still very good to hear any time. Thank-you Astrud, you are timeless..
❤
I was wandering through the Salamanca Markets in Hobart Tasmania a few years ago when I first heard this sad song. A young lady with a beautiful voice gave a great rendition that will remain with me forever.

Just marvelous. Question: does anyone know what show this was from, what orchestra she's singing in front of?
The one and only ❤❤❤❤
Captive on the carousel of time, a most pleasant way to embrace our mortality. Ticket of a lifetime so enjoy the ride! 🐛🦋🕊️🌈
